What is Adult PE?
Adult PE is for people who train hard because they enjoy the journey they're taking, without feeling the need to pin themselves into a trend. Take that how you will.
Not because they're building a personal brand.
Not because a fitness influencer told them to.
Not because they need validation from the crowd.
Some of us run marathons.
Some of us lift weights.
Some of us sign up for stupidly long races, strongman competitions, or whatever challenge seemed like a good idea at the time.
We're not professional athletes.
Most of us pay to be here.
Adult PE exists for the people who spend their own money, sacrifice their own weekends, and willingly suffer through their own (sometimes terribly thought out) hobbies.
Because training should add something to your life, not become your entire life.
We've still got families.
Responsibilities.
Jobs.
Most of us work for a living.
The irony is that a normal 9–5 is often less work (Especially while trying to build a community based on the above) than chasing the things we choose to do for fun.
We call ourselves Unprofessional Athletes.
Not because we're bad at what we do.
Not because we don't care.
Because we're self-funded.
Self-coached.
Self-sponsored.
We do this because we want to.
And we'd probably do it even if nobody was watching.
